Virginia Spencer-Smith
Virginia is a graduate of the College of Osteopaths, where she achieved a First Class Honours degree and was awarded the “Oakes” Prize for academic achievement. She qualified in therapeutic and holistic massage therapy in 1991 and is also a fully qualified sports injury massage practitioner and aromatherapist.
How Virginia works
Virginia has a particular interest in structural osteopathy. Each appointment combines a careful listening to your history with hands-on techniques chosen specifically for your condition — a mix of traditional osteopathic manipulation, articulation, soft-tissue work and remedial massage where appropriate.
Her aim is straightforward: get you out of pain as quickly as possible, then give you the tools (tailored exercises, posture advice, lifestyle suggestions) so the relief actually lasts. Many patients see meaningful improvement within two to four sessions.

About the practice
Crystal Palace Osteopathy was founded by Michael McDonnell, BSc(Hons)Ost, a graduate of the College of Osteopaths with a First Class Honours degree and over 17 years of experience in remedial and sports massage. The practice has been part of the Crystal Palace community ever since.
It's a small, independent clinic on Westow Hill in the heart of Crystal Palace — not a chain, not a multi-practitioner busy waiting room. You see the same osteopath every visit, and treatment is unhurried.
